Trevoh Chalobah set to leave Chelsea after being excluded from USA Pre-Season Tour

Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is expected to leave the club this summer after being excluded from the pre-season tour in the USA. Despite participating in pre-season training under Enzo Maresca at Cobham, the club has told Chalobah to stay home.

Chelsea’s decision comes as they consider their squad depth in the right-sided center-back position well-covered by Wesley Fofana, Axel Disasi, and new signing Tosin Adarabioyo. The club also plans to evaluate Cobham prospect Josh Acheampong as a right-back alternative to Reece James and Malo Gusto during the tour.

Chalobah, who has been regularly linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge, had interest from Bayern Munich last year, though a deal did not materialize. West Ham and Fulham have also shown interest, with Crystal Palace reportedly having an approach turned down by Chelsea.

As the summer transfer window progresses, Chalobah will be seeking a permanent move away from Chelsea to secure more playing time and continue his development.
