Artem Dovbyk, the top scorer of La Liga, is poised to leave Girona after just one season with the club. The Ukrainian forward has agreed to a transfer to Atlético Madrid, with both clubs reaching a consensus.

While the exact transfer fee varies in reports, Atlético is expected to pay either the full release clause of €40 million or a structured fee of €30 million plus €5 million in bonuses.

Dovbyk’s move to Atlético will see him replace Álvaro Morata, who recently transferred to Milan for €13 million. Last season, Dovbyk scored 24 goals, helping Girona secure a historic third-place finish in La Liga and a spot in the Champions League for the first time.
