Following an abysmal home loss against Manchester United on Saturday, the Tottenham Hotspur management released a statement on Monday that they have relieved Nuno Santo. Nuno, who had been in charge of the Wolves for four years, joined Tottenham in June after signing a 2-year contract. He was sacked after Spurs showed a sudden decline in their form and efficiency. Their players were so lacking in the past few matches, the even the fans started booing their manager when he replaced Lucas Moura on Sunday with Steven Bergwijn. Their game was called out as out and out boring in the last game by Roy Keane as they failed to hit even a shot on target, let alone score a goal. “Spurs are boring,” Kean said on Sky Sports, “they are boring to watch.”

Even their star striker Harry Kane has been on the receiving end of the criticism for the degraded performance of their team. Critics even believe that the reason behind Kane’s depleted form is the declined summer transfer which the English Striker wanted badly.  The last year’s Golden boot winner has only 1 goal to his name.

Fabrizio Romano has put up a statement on Twitter, that the Tottenham Clubs is already in contact with Italian coach Antonio Conte to take up the job at the London-based club. Noticeably, Conte has previously won the Premier League with another London-based club in the form of Chelsea in the 2016-17 season.
