Chelsea’s injury woes continue as they add another name to the already long list of injured players. With Romelu Lukaku, Time Werner, and Christian Pulisic already out of the match against New Castle, they have now added the name of Kovacic to their injury list. According to the reports published on the official Chelsea website, Tuchel addressed the issue in the pre-match conference and simultaneously provides injury updates for his missing attackers.

Tuchel in the conference confirmed that both Lukaku and Werner remain sidelined and are most likely to miss every game that Chelsea is to play before the international break in November. However, there is some good news for the team, addressing which the manager said, “Christian Pulisic did join the last two training sessions but it’s early given the time he missed. Everyone else is available. Azpi, Ruben, and N’Golo were back on the pitch so they will be with the team tomorrow and ready to play.” Further, he added information about Kovacic’s injury, saying that it was very unfortunate of him to pick up an injury in the last minute of training.
Last week, with several players missing, Chelsea thrashed Norwich city 7-0 at Stanford Bridge in a Premier League encounter. Mason Mount converted a spot-kick in the 90+ minute to complete his hattrick, his three goals alongside one goal each for Hudson-Odoi, Rece James, and Benjamin Chillwell and an own goal completed the 7-0 whooping. Chelsea retained their top spot in the premier league table with the help of the three points gained from this victory.
