Bayern Munich’s latest loss to Mainz by a score of 3-1 in the Bundesliga on Saturday has raised concerns among fans and pundits alike. The defeat has highlighted the current struggles of the team and has led to comparisons between their current manager, Thomas Tuchel, and their former manager, Julian Nagelsmann.
Tuchel has been in charge of Bayern Munich for just seven games, but he has already suffered the same number of losses as Nagelsmann did in over 50 games. Nagelsmann, who left Bayern Munich to manage RB Leipzig at the start of the season, had an impressive record during his tenure at the club. He led the team to two consecutive Bundesliga titles and a Champions League final appearance.
In contrast, Tuchel’s start at the club has been less than ideal. Bayern Munich has already lost three games under his leadership, including a disappointing defeat to Mainz, who are struggling at the bottom of the league table.
