Chelsea coach Thoman Tuchel has been awarded as The Best FIFA Men’s Coach for the year 2021.
German boss and Chelsea’s coach, Thomas had a successful year with the blues, achieving two trophies during his first year at the Chelsea club. The FIFA’s Youtube channel revealed Thomas as the Best Men’s Coach of 2021 at the award ceremony, held in Zurich.
Among the top three were Manchester City’s boss Pep Guardiola, Italy’s head coach Robert Mancini and the winner itself Thomas Tuchel. Antonio Conte, Hansi Flick, Lionel Sebastian Scaloni and Diego Simeone were the other coaches on the list but were unable to reach the shortlist of the top 3.
Tuchel was appointed in January 2021 and has won the Champions League and UEFA Super Cup in the year 2021 itself. Tuchel was unable to get another trophy as he was close enough to win FA Cup but were defeated by Leicester City during the Finals at Wembley.
The current season looks positive and strong for team Chelsea as the Blues are playing brilliantly. Chelsea is third in the Premier League, into the knockout stages of the Champions League, also reaching the Carabao Cup final and in the fourth round of their FA Cup journey.
After winning the award, Tuchel quoted that it seems a “normal day” for him, as he is at the training centre because there is a game to be played tomorrow.
