The second half of ISL scheduled to run till March 5

The second half of the ongoing ISL season will be played over a 55 day period, which will kick off on January 10 and continue till March 5 as per the announcement made by the tournament organizers FSDL on Tuesday.

The Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), the organizers of the ongoing tournament released the schedule for the ISL second phase on Tuesday. They announced that the second half of the Indian Super League (ISL) will begin from the 10th of January. As per the decided schedule, the tournament of this season will continue to run till March 5. As till will be played over 55 days according to Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL) announcement.

The first half of this season will take an end with a fight of Bengaluru FC against Chennaiyin FC on 30th December. The bottom-ranked teams are only 8 points apart from the leading top four. But the clubs will have as many opportunities as they need to make a good fluctuation and alter the result of their season.

In the coming January, the clubs will get the opportunity from the transfer market. As they might add good firepower in their ranks to stairs a challenge for the ISL trophy as well the League Shield. The oldest derby of Indian Football, the return leg of the grandest rivalry is scheduled on 29th January at the PJN Stadium, between SC East Bengal and ATK Mohun Bagan.

On March 5, the final night of the league where Goa FC will greet Kerala Blasters at the ground of the Athletic Stadium.
