Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers will not be participating in Cremonese’s upcoming Copa Italia quarter-final match against Napoli on Tuesday.
Despite being a consistent member of Cremonese’s lineup this season, making 16 league appearances and scoring three goals, Dessers will be taking a precautionary rest for this match. However, he is expected to return to action when Cremonese travels to Bologna next weekend.
Cremonese has been struggling in the league as they are yet to win a game in Serie A and also sacked their former coach Massimiliano Alvini, hiring Davide Ballardini after their loss to Monza on Saturday. Dessers will be working alongside his teammates to help the team avoid relegation this season.
