Sunil Chhetri to captain India in Merdeka Cup 2023

The Indian football star Sunil Chhetri will lead the Indian football team at the Merdeka Cup in 2023. The announcement was made by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) on October 11. India will face Tajikistan and host Malaysia in their knockout matches. Palestine withdrew from the competition at the very last minute.

The trio tournament will be broadcast live on the official YouTube channel of AIFF and Eurosport India.
