After the 305 million euros take over by a Saudi- led consortium, they finally play their first game after the takeover. It was expected that their current manager Bruce Steve who was hired by the previous owner for 3 years would be sacked due to his and his team’s performance this season, going winless. They are positioned second last in the league.
Newcastle United took on the Spurs and lost by 3-2, even with a electrifying start by the new Newcastle United scoring under 2 minutes, they battered with 3 goals in the 1st half by Tottenham. Second half had no action, Spurs Eric Dier scored and own goal but clearly dominated the game and Newcastle hold their 2nd last position.
Newcastle’s fresh start couldn’t be any better, they scored within the first two minutes of the game. Saint-Maximin was on the edge of the right side box lobs the ball into Willson who was able to connect his head to get past Hotspurs keeper Lloris. But the lead didn’t last long as Spurs was able to answer with a Nmodelle goal, a pass from Reguilon to Nmodelle who found him wide open and was able to put it far into the corner. After Tottenham equalizer, Harry Kane did what he always did, at the 22nd minute he scored a goal which was disallowed by referees as off-side but thanks to technology VAR the goal was allowed with 2-1 score. The game was stopped when Reguilon spotted a fan having some trouble, he was taken care of and the game began after 20 minutes with 7 added extra minutes, but the break only brought good to the Spurs as they were able to extend their lead by 3-1, Son was able to score an easy tap-in goal thanks to Kane assist.
The supporter who was in need of urgent medical assistance has been stabilised and is on their way to hospital.

2nd half was dominated by the clear better team Hotspurs who had 63% of possession, there was no clear cut chances created by the Newcastle United but at 89th minute Eric scored an own goal saw it late at the far post. He ducked towards the ball, missed an attempted header and kneed the ball emphatically into the far corner. After this disappointing loss it will be remain to see if the new owners will keep their manager Bruce or will he be sacked.
