Italy was missing their star scorer Ciro is injured and is the duo of Matteo and Rafael and Leonardo Spinazzola also took a major blowback during the EURO, as they miss a wide-open goal from a cross from Chiesa and a big miss by no. 10 M. As the 2nd half kicks off, Roberto Mancini subs in Giorgio Chiellini in place of Federico Bernadeschi as captain. Even though all odds were against Italy they were determined to keep their 38 unbeaten streaks to live as they fought till their last breath, competed but were only able to score a goal on a breakaway led by Chiesa who then passes it off to Lorenzo Pellegrini, who tapped in from close range. After all the efforts to keep the unbeaten streak alive for another day, they were defeated by a well-coached Spain team who was hungry to avenge their loss.
