The Spanish club Sevilla are the undisputed kings of the Europa league as they managed to add another Europa league title to their trophy cabinet making it 6th time a record in European competition, they beat Inter Milan by 3-2 an own goal by Romelu Lukaku sealing the title for Sevilla in 74th minute.
Romelu Lukaku who had the brightest of the start in the Finals with a early penalty which he scored with a ease but along the entirety of remaining game he was kept quiet, it was an aggressive play style by Inter which saw them take the lead but Sevilla believed in their play style and were awarded with 2 goals by Luke de jong which were scored in 12th and 33rd minutes giving them the lead but again with game played at high intensity and set play Inter did capitalize minutes after Sevilla took lead with Diego Godin scoring a header at the back post in 35th minute.
The first half thus came to an entertaining end, in the second half Lukaku missed and early chance in a 1v1 against the Sevilla keeper a moment which came back to haunt him when Diego Carlos headed a bicycle kick at the Inter goal which was turned inside the post by Lukaku scoring an own goal which gave the lead to Sevilla in 74th minutes, the Spanish team held onto the lead and Inter could not make most of their chances as they failed to land a trophy after a 10 year long haul and the wait still continues for them.
J. Lopetegui the Sevilla coach had his first silverware as a manager this comes after he was sacked by the Spanish National team head Coach just before the 2018 world cup to join Real Madrid as their manager where again he got the sack until he was appointed the head coach of Sevilla before the 2019/20 football season, while his counterpart Antonio Conte after the defeat is not sure about his future at Inter as a manager as he failed again to win a Finals which could cost him his job.
