Sergio Aguero, who hasn’t yet been officially registered under the La Liga due to Barcelona’s wage bill being over the wage cap rule of the league. The same situation persists with the other signings as well such as Memphis Depay, Eric Garcia and Emerson Royal. They would have to sell a few players, other than Messi, to come under the wage cap rule of the La Liga. Until then, no new signings were registered under the league.
President Joan Laporta recently stated that their wage bill is 95% of their income, even without Messi and over the limit of 70% of the club’s income, as per the rules of the La Liga.
Sergio Aguero’s injury is a huge blow to FC Barcelona’s campaign as they were looking forward to using the striker’s services in this upcoming season. The striker was looking forward to playing with his best friend, Lionel Messi but looks like this season may continue FC Barcelona’s misfortunes.
