Serge Gnabry scores a hat-trick as Bayern Munich hit 5 against VfB Stuttgart

Bayern Munich defeats VfB Stuttgart by 5-0 in the Bundesliga 2021/22 season. Lewandowski and Gnabry were the only two players who were on the scoresheet.

Bayern Munich was exceptional in their Bundesliga game against VfB Stuttgart on Tuesday night. The League leaders scored 5 goals without a reply from the home side. VfB Stuttgart was really stunned by the Visitors as the winner of the Best Striker’s award Robert Lewandowski scored two and Bayern’s forward Serge Gnabry scored a hat-trick to make them 9 points clear on top. This was Bayern’s 13th win of the season in the league as they are on 40 points. Their old rivals Borussia Dortmund is in the second position with 31 points who still has one game in hand.

Bayern had a very decent performance in the first half as they scored a single goal before going into the tunnel for half-time. Gnabry opened the scoring in the 40th minute after former Manchester City’s forward Leroy Sane delivers the ball to him. Despite losing by 5-0, VfB Stuttgart created so many good chances in the first half but couldn’t convert those chances into a goal.

The second half was forgettable for the VfB Stuttgart as their defence was completely destroyed by Bayern Munich’s forward players. Gnabry finds another goal in the 53rd minute when the home side gave the ball away in midfield. Not only did the German forward score the goals but also assisted one to Lewandowski who scored his first in the 69th minute. Poland’s striker didn’t wait for too long to find his second goal as he came back on the scoresheet after 3 minutes from scoring his first. The assist was again from Bayern’s star man Serge Gnabry. In the 74th minute, Gnabry finally completes his hat-trick with a great strike in the bottom corner. The German forward was no doubt was named as the man of the match as he was directly involved in all of the goals that Bayern Munich scored on Tuesday.
