On Tuesday night, 28th March, Scotland defeated Spain in the Euro 2024 qualifiers. It was an amazing game for the underdogs Scotland who were never expected to win this fixture. Scotland scored two goals whereas Spain couldn’t get on the scoresheet.
It was a disappointing result for Spain after the FIFA World Cup exit back in December, 2022. Spain are not in very good form since the World Cup in Qatar. Scotland’s captain Scott McTominay scored two goals for them in the game to make their team victorious against a good looking team Spain.
Manchester United’s midfielder Scott McTominay spoilt the mood of Spanish fans as no one would have expected that underdogs can beat the world cup winning side by 2-0. This was a dominating performance from the Scottish side as they move ahead in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
