Sandesh Jhingan joins HNK Sibenik from ATK Mohun Bagan FC

The Indian national team defender Sandesh Jhingan has joined the Croatian team HNK Sibenik from ATK Mohun Bagan. He will not be seen playing in the Indian Super League or the AFC Cup.

The Indian experienced centre-back Sandesh Jhingan has left the club, ATK Mohun Bagan, and joined a Croatian First division side named HNK Sibenik. However, the former ATK Mohun Bagan defender already agreed on the terms with the Croatian Side to join them on August 11, Wednesday. He had a dream of playing in foreign countries. He always wanted to play in Europe and now it seems his dream has come true.

Sandesh Jhingan decided that he wants to leave ATK Mohun Bagan this summer. He got an offer from an Austrian team and also a Greece team but he chose to join the Croatian side. HNK Sibenik is the team that plays in the first division of the Croatian First Football League.

When Indian Super League was started, Sandesh Jhingan used to play for Kerala Blasters FC as a first-team centre back. He was also made the captain of Kerala Blasters FC in the 2017-18 ISL season. Later on, he also went to many clubs on loan including Bengaluru FC, before he joined ATK Mohun Bagan in 2020. He played the whole 2020-21 season for ATK and helped the team finish second in the Indian Super League after Mumbai City FC. Sandesh has also won the 2020-21 AIFF Men’s Player of the Year Award because of his superb performance in the Indian Super League as well as in the Indian National Football Team. However, he will not be seen playing in the Indian Super League or in any other leagues in India where his performance in recent years is commendable.
