SAFF Championship: India beat Lebanon in penalties; book a place in the finals

India won by 4-2 in penalties in the SAFF championship 2nd Semifinals.

Indian football team has done it again as they have won the second semi-final of the SAFF Championship on Saturday, July 1 which was against Lebanon. Both the teams played their socks off in this game but didn’t get the result they wanted in the normal time. The game went into the penalties where team India defeated Lebanon by 4-2.

This was a massive win for the team as they have booked a place into the finals of the competition. Indian football team were playing without their head coach Igor Stimac as he was suspended for this game. India will play into the finals of the competition now. Indian team should have won this game as they had more than 15 shots. Indian team weren’t able to finish off well between the poles and the scoreline remained 0-0 at the full-time.
