Indian football team has beaten Kuwait in the final of the SAFF championship 2023 on Tuesday, July 4. This was one of the greatest win for them as it ended in the very last minute and was decided in the penalties. Sunil Chhetri had another Trophy to his name.
The captain played with emotion with great dignity and won this trophy for India. Sunil Chhetri and his blue tigers are roaring after this victory. The penalty shootout was very much worth watching as it ended with a scoreline of 5-4 to India. Sunil scored the first one and later on the defender Sandesh Jhingan. However, one penalty was missed from Udanta but it was compensated by one of the best Indian goalkeepeer named Gurpreet Singh Sandhu. A save from him gave India the trophy of SAFF Championship for the 9th time.
