Sadio Mane set to join Bayern Munich, contract until 2025

Sadio Mane will be leaving Liverpool and he is well on his way to join the German champions.

The Sadio Mane saga is entering its final stages as Bayern Munich has met Liverpool’s transfer requirements. Sadio Mane will be joining Bayern Munich and they will be paying Liverpool a guaranteed sum of €32m as per reported by Fabrizio Romano. Liverpool will be also looking at a deal package which will be having add-ons and a total of €40m from the Bundesliga winners.

Mane had already decided to leave Liverpool by the end of May. The 30-year-old has spent 6 long years at Liverpool and he felt it was time for him to start a new challenge which is in Germany. Over 6 years, Mane had done exceptionally well at Liverpool by winning numerous trophies. He has won the UEFA Champions League, the Premier League, the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup with Liverpool. Apart from this, he has been brilliant individually for Liverpool contributing in all these competitions majorly. He was awarded the golden boot in Premier League for scoring 22 goals in the 2018-19 season.

Sadio Mane left Southampton to join Liverpool in 2016. That probably would have been the best decision he has made in his career. Ever since he joined Liverpool his career has been nourishing well. For the Reds, Mane has played 269 games and out of that, he has been able to score 120 times. Mane’s consistent performances were mostly overshadowed by Salah who has been exceptional throughout his time at Liverpool. That might be one of the key reasons why Mane decided to leave such a distinguished club. Jurgen Klopp’s side would very well miss his services but they have already roped in their primary target Darwin Nunez in this transfer window.
