Romelu Lukaku leaves international camp following ‘muscle fatigue’

Lukaku, who scored a tremendous goal against France in a loss, leaves the camp due to muscle fatigue.

Chelsea star striker Romelu Lukaku will miss the UEFA nations league match against the EURO 2020 winner Italy for third place in Turin on Sunday. Lukaku played full 90 minutes against France on Friday and scored a goal to put Belgium up 2-0 but surprisingly ended up giving the lead to France in a tremendous comeback to win by 3-2.

Lukaku who made a comeback to Chelsea in the summer of a club record 97.8 million from Inter Milan and in 9 appearances he has just  4 goals in all competition. Chelsea who as of now is at the top of the table with 16 points will go against Brentford on October 16.

Chelsea striker rather than gets treated by the medical staff of Belgium preferred to return to his club. In the pre-match news conference, Martinez said that “It’s an overload. He didn’t feel 100% to play tomorrow. It’s soreness in his tissue. Every decision taken involves both medical departments together for the good of the player.”

With the huge loss of the No.1 team in the world, everyone will expect that Italy will hold the 3rd place as with Lukaku out of the squad Belgium takes a big hit on the offensive side of the ground and Roberto Mancini’s team will run away with another win.
