Romelu Lukaku awaits Napoli move to reunite with Antonio Conte

Romelu Lukaku is eager to join Napoli and work under Antonio Conte again. The striker is willing to reduce his salary from €11 million to €6 million per season until June 2027 to make the move happen. However, the deal hinges on negotiations between Napoli and Chelsea, and the potential departure of Victor Osimhen, who is being pursued by PSG.

Chelsea has reportedly reached an agreement with Napoli for Lukaku’s transfer, valued at over €25 million. This move is contingent on Osimhen’s exit, with PSG expected to finalize a deal for the Nigerian international soon.

Osimhen, who has a €130 million release clause, has been linked with a move away from Napoli for some time. Napoli hopes to secure over €100 million for their 25-year-old star. Lukaku’s arrival would see him reunite with Conte, under whom he thrived at Inter Milan, leading the team to success with his impressive goal-scoring record.

Despite scoring 21 goals and providing four assists in 47 matches on loan at AS Roma last season, Chelsea is keen to offload Lukaku. The club wants to recoup part of their investment in the Belgian international, who has two years left on his contract.

Lukaku is currently on holiday, awaiting news on Osimhen’s future. He is focused solely on the potential move to Napoli and has decided against considering other offers.
