Robbie Savage, a former professional football player turned pundit, recently praised Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag as the best manager in the world. Savage’s comments came in the wake of United’s Carabao Cup victory against Newcastle United on Sunday.
Ten Hag, who previously managed Dutch side Ajax, took over the reins at Manchester United in the summer of 2022. Despite some initial skepticism, he has quickly won over fans and pundits alike with his tactical nous and ability to get the best out of his players.
Savage, speaking via BBC, hailed Ten Hag’s impact at Old Trafford, saying, “I genuinely think he’s the best manager in the world right now.
Indeed, Ten Hag’s signings have been key to United’s recent success. The likes of Lisandro Martinez, Antony, and Casemiro have all made an immediate impact, while existing players such as Bruno Fernandes and Mason Greenwood have thrived under Ten Hag’s guidance.
But it’s not just in the transfer market where Ten Hag has excelled.
