The La Liga giants Real Madrid was up against Real Sociedad on Sunday night, 29th January at Santiago Bernabeu. Real Madrid was playing at their home still faced a humiliating draw against the Sociedad.
Madrid couldn’t score a single goal in the game and thus the three points which they were looking for didn’t come their way. Real Madrid had 20 shots on Sociedad’s goal out of which 7 were on target. Real Sociedad comparatively had 8 shots on Madrid’s goal in the game.
The defending champions had a lot of chances to lead in the game but the final third passing and finishing was not upto the mark. Real Madrid’s possession was 62% and still they ended up with a single point. With this disappointing draw, Real Madrid are now 5 points behind La Liga’s table toppers FC Barcelona. Barcelona are looking more suitable to win the trophy this season as they are on 47 points in the 18 games they played this season so far.
