Real Madrid remains unbeaten now in the last 11 league games against Diego Simeone’s side Athletico Madrid after defeating them on Sunday night by 2-0.

Real Madrid’s amazing form continues as they defeated Diego Simeone’s side Athletico Madrid by 2-0 Sunday night. It was a pretty one-sided game as Real scored two without any reply from the visitors. With this victory, Carlo Ancelotti’s men remain unbeaten in the last 11 league games against Athletico Madrid. Real scored the goals in each half to make them stand comfortably in 1st place on the La Liga table. The La Liga giants are now 8 points clear on the top leaving behind Sevilla in the second position who still has an extra game in hand. 42 points in 17 games really tell that how brutal Carlo Ancelotti’s men are this season.

As soon as the whistle was been blown by the referee, Real Madrid was in possession. Diego Simeone’s men also seemed dangerous on the ball whenever they were in possession. But, a small mistake from Athletico’s player named Hermoso leads to the first goal of the game. Benzema scores an amazing volley from the Vinicius Jr. cross after the ball was given away to him by Hermoso. Real lead 1-0 in the 16th minute and remains in the lead till the half-time whistle.

Conceding only one goal was the only positive for ATM and they thought they can equalize in the second half. But, their dreams of equalizing went a little too far as Real Madrid’s forward Marco Asensio scores in the 57th minute, and Vincius Jr. recorded another assist in the game. However, Diego Simeone’s side really tried hard to get something from this game but they couldn’t score a single goal in the match and it was all over for Athletico after the final whistle. ATM is now in 4th place and 13 points behind the league leaders Real Madrid with an extra game in hand.
