Real Madrid ease past Valencia in La Liga

Real Madrid won 2-0 against the 10-men Valencia FC.

Real Madrid had a mid-week game in the La Liga on Thursday night, 3rd February against Valencia. Madrid were at their home i.e. Santiago Bernabeu and thus they had an easy victory over Valencia. Real Madrid scored two in the game without a reply from Valencia.

First half went goalless but could have been 1-0 or 2-0 up for the host as they kept creating chances in the first half. In the 52nd minute, Real Madrid took the lead with a fabulous goal from the forward Marco Asensio. 2 minutes after that goal from Asensio, Real Madrid doubled their lead.

It was a great run from the Brazilian winger named Vinicius Junior when a through ball was given to him. The run and the finish from Vinicius gave a full entertainment to the fans and it also nearly confirmed the victory for the host.

Later in the half, Valencia were down to 10-men after the referee showed the red card to Paulista for a poor challenge. Now with this victory, Real Madrid have moved to 45 points in the La Liga points table (2022/23) and are still 5 behind the leaders FC Barcelona.
