The loss arose a debate between the fans doubting boss Carlo Ancelotti’s lack of rotation or tactical disconnection in the squad and the fear of letting the title slip despite being on top of the table.
Coming back from an injury, Frenchman Benzema looked 100% fit and was back on the scoresheet. Fede Valverde was used for the midfield while Eden Hazard proceeded on the bench. The victory after a better second half could be a necessary one that can comfort them bring back their form and confidence.
