Negotiations between PSG and Napoli for the transfer of Victor Osimhen have stalled. Recent talks between the clubs did not advance, as PSG rejected the inclusion of Kang-in Lee in the deal and will not trigger the release clause Napoli wanted. This means the deal is not happening under the current conditions.
PSG, content with their current forwards Ramos and Kolo Muani, have hit stumbling blocks that give Arsenal and Chelsea fresh hope of securing a deal for the Napoli striker. Napoli’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis has already indicated that Osimhen’s time at the club is nearing its end.
Arsenal and Chelsea are both keen to strengthen their forward lines with Osimhen. The Gunners want to add a proven goalscorer to support Kai Havertz, while Chelsea’s manager Enzo Maresca is considering adding another striker to his squad.
Talks between PSG and Napoli had initially made it seem like the London clubs had lost ground. However, according to Fabrizio Romano, the deal’s collapse due to PSG’s refusal to include Kang-in Lee and meet the release clause has reopened the race. The release clause for Osimhen is believed to be between £101m and £109m.
