Paris Saint-Germain have failed to defeat Lens in the Ligue 1 game which was played on Sunday night. This wasn’t the start PSG fans would be hoping in the new year. This was PSG’s first league game in the new year and they have their 31-game unbeaten record broken.

Lens played exceptionally well in the game as they were the one with all the chances in both the halves. Lens’ player named Frankowski scored in the 5th minute to give the lead to the host. The visitors didn’t take much time to equalise as Ekitike scored for PSG in the 8th minute.

Lens were back in lead when Openda scored an amazing goal in the 28th minute. PSG wasn’t able to cope up with the pace of second-place Lens. PSG were trailing by 1 goal at half-time and it increased in the second half. Lens scored the third goal in the 47th minute.

Claude Maurice’s goal for Lens was the match-winner and it ended the 31-game unbeaten record of Paris Saint-Germain. The gap between the first place (PSG) and second place (Lens) is now just 4 points.
