Premier League: Keane scores a late goal in Everton’s 1-1 draw with Spurs

With 27 points, Everton moves above the relegation zone.

Thanks to Michael Keane’s last-gasp goal, Everton drew 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspur on Monday. As a result, the team’s desperate fight to avoid relegation received a significant boost. It was a consolation goal for Keane after a tackle on Cristian Romero had resulted in Spurs receiving a penalty earlier in the game. Harry Kane converted in the 68th minute.

Keane scored a goal from 30 yards in injury time. It brought the Goodison Park fans to their feet. After sacking Antonio Conte, Tottenham settled for a point in their first match following Conte’s departure. With 27 points above the relegation zone, Everton has moved to 15th place. With two games to play, Tottenham has moved back up to fourth, level on 50 points with third-place Newcastle United and fifth-place Manchester United.

Everton lost Abdoulaye Doucoure to a red card in the 58th minute after Kane grabbed the shirt of the Mali midfielder, who reacted by swatting the England captain in the face and leaving him collapsing on the pitch. In addition, Spurs ended the match with ten men after Lucas Moura was sent off two minutes before the end of the game.
