Premier League: Graham Potter rejects Leicester City a day after Chelsea sack him

Former Chelsea boss Graham Potter will not replace Brendan Rodgers at Leicester as he wants a break after departing Stamford Bridge. This was just 24 hours after leaving Stamford Bridge. On Sunday, Potter was dismissed as Brendan Rodgers, and Potter was approached to replace the Northern Irish coach a day later.


Rodgers departed City mutually following a 2-1 loss at Crystal Place, while Potter left Stamford Bridge after a 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa. LeicesterCity is considering the option of a shorter-term appointment until the end of the season, while the Foxes are putting Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou on their shortlist for Rodgers’ successor. In addition to Rafael Benitez, another former Liverpool, Newcastle United and Everton manager is reported to be a candidate, and former Leeds United head coach Jesse Marsch.
