Official: Sergio Busquets decides to leave Barcelona on June 30

Sergio Busquets won’t be a Barcelona player anymore after this season.

Sergio Busquets, one of Barcelona’s most iconic and influential players, has announced his departure from the club as a free agent on June 30, 2023. This season will mark Busquets’ final campaign in a Barcelona shirt, bringing an end to an era of exceptional midfield dominance at Camp Nou.

Rising through the ranks, he quickly displayed his exceptional footballing abilities and was eventually promoted to the first team in 2008 under the guidance of manager (then) Pep Guardiola.
