Manchester United have officially signed Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley FC. The club made the deal official on Friday night, 13th January on their official website and all of their social media handles. Man United have signed the first player of the January transfer window.

United wanted a striker and they have got one until the end of this season (2022/23). Wout Weghorst was playing on loan in Besiktas and wanted to join the side as he sees United as a bigger opportunity for him to explore in Premier League’s big 6.

Thus, Wout terminated his contract with Besiktas as he wanted to join Erik ten Hag’s side. Weghorst however won’t be available for Manchester United’s next game in the English Premier League which is against Manchester City as said by the manager Erik ten Hag in the pre-match press conference.

Weghorst wanted to play for the team in the Manchester derby but it seems the player will now be present in the stands to watch the game on Saturday, 14th January.
