The German professional footballer Mario Gotze signs a new contract with the Eredivisie club PSV Eindhoven. He will stay in the club until 2024.

Mario Gotze has signed a new contract with PSV Eindhoven and the club has officially announced the signing news on their official social media accounts on Monday. PSV is a Dutch club that plays in the Eredivisie league. The 29-year-old German is known for his playmaking as he plays as an attacking midfielder in the team. Gotze has also played for two big German clubs named Borussia Dortmund and 2020/21 Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

The German professional footballer is an academy player of Borussia Dortmund. Gotze was in the club when he was just 8 years old. He also won the 2010-2011 season Bundesliga with Dortmund. In 2013, Borussia Dortmund’s rivals Bayern Munich approached Mario Gotze and signed him as well. The 29-year-old won so many trophies with the German giants. The German fans may never forget Mario Gotze’s goal in the finals of the FIFA World Cup 2014 against Argentina, which made them the champions for the fourth time. Fans still remember his stunning goal in the extra time to beat Lionel Messi’s Argentina in the final.

After serving three successive years in Bayern Munich, Gotze moved back to his former club Borussia Dortmund on a four-year contract. But, that was not his best season as the Geman playmaker scored only 1 goal in 11 Bundesliga matches. Mario Gotze joined the Dutch side (PSV) on 6th October 2020 on a free transfer from Dortmund on a permanent two-year deal after his contract expiry.
