Eduardo Camavinga is officially joining Real Madrid as the club made it official on the transfer deadline day on Tuesday. The Italian football transfers expert Fabrizio Romano reported on Monday night that the French star midfielder will join the La Liga giants Real Madrid. Only the paperwork and the total agreement with his former club, Rennes was due to reach as per Fabrizio Romano.
On Tuesday, Real Madrid has officially announced the signing of the 18-year-old French midfielder on their official website and social media accounts. Camavinga had only a year left in his contract with his Ligue 1 club Rennes. Camavinga already told the club that he wanted to leave and Rennes didn’t want to let him leave on free. Real Madrid signed the young star midfielder in €31 million guaranteed fees plus add ons. (as per Fabrizio Romano tweet). Apart from the Spanish giants Real Madrid, there were many clubs interested in the French player namely Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, and other European big teams. At the start of the summer transfer window, Fabrizio Romano reported that Man United and Paris Saint-Germain are the front runners to sign the midfielder. But, it seems that the 18-year-old Camavinga always wanted to join the Spanish side over Manchester United and PSG.

However, Eduardo Camavinga was not the only French player that Real Madrid wanted to sign this summer. They also wanted the French forward Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain, but now as the transfer deadline is very near, the deal with PSG looks off. Mbappe has only one year left in his contract. Thus, Real Madrid is hoping to get him next summer for free.
