The Austrian midfielder Marcel Sabitzer joined the 2020/21 Bundesliga Champions, Bayern Munich officially on a four-year deal which says he will be at the club till 2025. The 27-year old midfielder was the main target for the defending champions this season. He joined the side by leaving another Bundesliga club named RB Leipzig.
“I’m very happy to be able to play for Bayern. As a kid, my Bayern shirt was my pride and joy, getting a new one every year for Christmas,” Marcel Sabitzer said as posted on the Bayern’s official website.
With just two days left on the transfer window, the Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann is not expecting any more additions to their team. Marcel Sabitzer plays in a more central role and Bayern rates him higher and wanted the player for that role. The Austrian midfielder was signed for RB Leipzig in the year 2014 on a four-year contract. He played 5 Bundesliga seasons for Leipzig and has an important role in the team’s success.
