“No VAR, No good referees,” fans react to Sunil Chhetri’s controversial goal against Kerala Blasters

Bengaluru FC won the game against Kerala Blasters to book their place in the semifinals of the ISL.

Indian Super League is a hot topic now in India especially after that controversial goal from the Indian football legend Sunil Chhetri. Bengaluru FC captain Chhetri scored a free-kick goal against Kerala Blasters in the Hero Indian Super League knockout game, which created a chaos in the field.

After the game between Bengaluru FC and Kerala Blasters went goalless in the 90 minutes, it was meant to go in the extra-time. In the extra-time’s first half, Bengaluru FC recieved a free-kick close to Kerala Blasters penalty box.

When the blasters were setting up their players for it, referee blew the whistle and Sunil Chhetri chipped the ball over thr goalkeepeer. Kerala Blasters’ players and coaches were angry as why referee allowed the host to take a free-kick when they were setting up the wall. Fans are not appreciating this and thus raising questions on referee and Sunil Chhetri as well.
