The Brazilian international has made 18 appearances for the Cherries, recording four clean sheets since becoming number one following Gary O’Neil’s original appointment as a caretaker at the end of August.
After signing the contract, Neto told the media: “I am thrilled and proud. From the first time I arrived here, I loved being here. My family and I are enjoying our life. It is the right place because we have kids and a young baby, and we are straightforward people. We enjoy the site. It is peaceful and adorable. My daughter enjoys school; my wife enjoys the place. When you have this connection, it is the most significant thing in your career. Everything is perfect.”
Besides Camp Nou, the keeper worked for Juventus, Valencia, and Fiorentina. In addition to being capped once by Brazil at the senior level, Neto earned a silver medal for his country at the Olympics in London in 2012. Neto has shared dressing rooms with many stars, including Leo Messi, Neymar, Mo Salah, Luis Suarez, and Gianluigi Buffon.
