The 1-0 win against Aston Villa by the Gooners was a landmark for the English side but the 23-year-old goalkeeper’s absence from the games remains critical for top four competition held by Arsenal as Ramsdale is out for a few weeks due to a muscle injury, according to team coach Mikel Arteta, reported SkySports. This means that the Englishman will be out for the friendlies against Switzerland and Ivory Coast on March 26th and March 29th respectively despite being selected for the squad by Gareth Southgate.
In the press conference ahead of the Aston Villa win, Arteta spoke about the squad members who would miss the next couple of games, including Gabriel Martinelli who’s been out due to sickness. Arsenal celebrated their 2000th goal contributed by Bukayo Saka against Villa in the Premier League history joining the other two English clubs, Manchester United FC and Liverpool FC. Arsenal FC currently holds the fourth position in the Premier League table and is scheduled to play against Wolves FC and Crystal Palace FC on 2nd April and 4th of April respectively.
