Mumbai City FC loans goalkeeper Ravi Kumar from Odisha FC

Head coach, Des Buckingham said to PTI, Ravi brings in valuable experience with him. He is a great individual to have in your group and more importantly, Ravi understands the fabric of the club.

On Sunday, the ruling Indian Super League champion, Mumbai City FC announced that the club has finished the signing of goalkeeper, Ravi Kumar on loan from Odisha FC.

Ravi has returned to Mumbai for a second stint and will stay at the club till May 31.

Ravi said that it’s a great feeling to be back, the club and the coach Des Buckingham have put their faith in him. He is aware of the expectations that come with being a part of Mumbai City FC. He is ready and he hopes that he can do his part by motivating his teammates and the club towards another successful season in his time.

The 28-year-old began his career with the Indian Arrows before shifting to Sporting Clube de Goa. Loan stinted with Delhi Dynamos and Minerva Punjab followed before he was chosen by NorthEast United FC at the 2017 ISL Draft.

Ravi signed for Mumbai City ahead of the 2018-19 season and had spent two seasons with the Islanders, making appearances thrice for the club, before in 2020 he shifted to Odisha FC.
