Mumbai City FC faced another draw on Tuesday when they were against NorthEast United in the Hero Indian Super League. Des Buckingham’s side did score the opening goal which was converted from the penalty spot by star midfielder Ahmed Jahouh. His set-piece-taking quality is exceptional which helped his team lead by 1-0 in the 30th minute. The first half ended and it was the home team who was 1 goal up. Since the start of the second half, NorthEast United started creating chances and they had a clear intention of scoring. Later, in the 79th minute, visitors found the equalizing goal when NorthEast United’s midfielder Irshad Thaivalappil’s shot beats the goalkeeper and made the scoreline 1-1.

The way Khalid Jamil’s men were playing in the second half, they clearly deserved this goal. Visitors had 52% possession on the ball and also made more passes than Mumbai City FC, thus they deservingly earn 1 point.
