Since the start of the second half, NorthEast United started creating chances and they had a clear intention of scoring. Later, in the 79th minute, visitors found the equalizing goal when NorthEast United’s midfielder Irshad Thaivalappil’s shot beats the goalkeeper and made the scoreline 1-1.

The way Khalid Jamil’s men were playing in the second half, they clearly deserved this goal. Visitors had 52% possession on the ball and also made more passes than Mumbai City FC, thus they deservingly earn 1 point.
