Mohamed Salah has been awarded the Player of the Season for Liverpool for the 2021-22 season. He was the winner of this award for the 2020-21 season as well.
Salah had an impressive season for Liverpool by netting 31 goals and 15 assists. With his outstanding performance, Liverpool won both the FA Cup as well as the EFL Cup. Liverpool also finished second in the Premier League and had a memorable Champions League campaign where they fell short to European super giants Real Madrid in the final by losing 1-0. Liverpool was on charge for a quadruple glory this season but they fell painfully short of it.
Salah finished the Premier League season by scoring 23 goals and assisting 13 times which is more than any player in the league this season. His splendid form has been helping Liverpool in achieving success for the past five seasons.
The 29-year-olds Liverpool’s future is up on hold as there is only one year remaining in his contract with the Merseyside club. Although it is purely based on the decision of the club as well as Salah, Liverpool fans would definitely hope to see him play for the club in the future seasons as well.
