Miralem Pjanic opens up about his stance regarding present Barcelona squad

Pjanic praises Gavi and compares Pedri to Iniesta under the new system of Xaviball.

The Bosnian midfielder shared his thoughts to Italian paper, La Gazzetta, about the club from which he was loaned out, speaking about the system Xavi has brought under his wing, including the players. He admitted that Koeman, the Culers’ ex-coach was disrespectful to him which was quite transparent to the eye as he joined the Turkish side during the transfer window and that Laporte had done a great job with Xavi as he has transformed the players into a nightmare for other teams to play against.

Pjanic strongly feels about the world’s best youngsters as well. He praised Pedri and Gavi for their nature of football IQ, “I love Pedri, he dances with the ball like Iniesta and the first time I saw Gavi in training I said wow, this boy is gonna be special”, said the 31-year-old. He feels that the current squad looks completely different with Xavi under control.

The Bosnian had loved his time in Barcelona but since Koeman wasn’t too keen on his appearance, Pjanic was left out. He has since contributed four assists this season for the Turkish side with a total of 22 appearances on his loan admission. He has represented Barcelona, Juventus, Lyon, Metz and Besiktas alongside the Bosnian international team throughout this career.
