Mauricio Pochettino close to agree Chelsea’s managerial position offer

Chelsea are close to sign Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager.

According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea Football Club is said to be in advanced talks with former Tottenham Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pochettino, to become their new manager. Although the deal has not yet been finalized, it is believed that an agreement is close.

This news comes after Chelsea sacked their former manager, Graham Potter last month appointed Frank Lampard as an interim manager. However, it seems that Chelsea is now looking to bring in a permanent manager to take the team forward.

Mauricio Pochettino is a well-respected manager in the football world, known for his tactical astuteness and ability to develop young talent. He spent five years at Tottenham Hotspur, where he led the team to the Champions League final in 2019. Pochettino has been out of work since he was sacked by Paris Saint-Germain in January 2021, and it seems that Chelsea is keen to bring him back to the Premier League.

If the deal is completed, Pochettino will have a talented squad at his disposal, including the likes of N’Golo Kante, Pulisic, and Mason Mount. He will also have the task of improving the team’s form in the Premier League, where they finished fourth last season.
