Match day Referee Team of Champions league Finals has been appointed by UEFA

Italy’s Daniel Orsato will take charge as the match Referee in the Finals of The Uefa Champions league between PSG and Bayern Munchen

The UEFA Referee committee who takes a call on a whom to be designate the match officiating announced that Italy’s Daniel Orsato will referee the Finals of UEFA Champions league 2020 between Paris Saint Germain and FC Bayern Munchen, the match is scheduled on Sunday 23rd August at 21:00 CET in Estadio do Sport Lisboa e Binfica Stadium Lisbon.

The International referee who is 44 years old will be taking charge of the first major European Finals since 2010, the referee this season previously was entrusted with officiating eight UEFA Champions league matches which also included the Real Madrid’s Round of 16 first leg against Manchester City back in February, Orsato has also referred a Quarter Final match in the UEFA Europa league which is played in Germany.

At the Finals in Lisbon he will be assisted by his fellow countrymen Lorenzo Manganelli and Alessandro Giallatini, the fourth official will be Ovidiu Hategan from Romania. The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) role has been assigned to Massimiliano Irrati and he will be helped by fellow Italian Marco Guida, while Spaniards Roberto Diaz Perez del Palmor and Alenadro Hernandez Hernandez complete the VAR line up. VAR can be a major highlight and a talking point if the games decisive decisions are being taken up by the VAR in which case can alter the result of the Finals.
