The homegrown talent of Manchester United academy Marcus Rashford has scored the most number of goals (4) coming on off the bench in the English Premier League this season.
The English international has appeared 13 times for the red devils this season being in the starting eleven for 7 times and coming off the bench 6 times and has had an expected goal (xG) of 2.50. And has netted 4 goals in the domestic league all coming from the bench as a substitute. The latest one to the tally was a late winner against West Ham at Old Trafford in the game week 23 of the season.
The striker is regaining his confidence and form after the appointment of the new interim manager Ralf Rangnick. He looked very dull and rusty after the recovery from his shoulder injury which made him miss 10 games of the ongoing season. This was the second time in a row he injured his shoulder after he suffered it in the 2020 season.
But the young striker looks good and confident in front of goal after back-to-back goals in the league, one coming in a 3-1 win against Brentford and 1-0 win against West Ham. He wasn’t able to register his name on the score sheet as United exited the FA Cup this weekend after a loss in the penalty shootout against Middlesbrough.
But Rashford will be looking to help Manchester United who lock horns with Burnley on Tuesday night at Turf Moor in the English Premier League.
