Manchester United has finished the year 2021 with a comfortable 3-1 victory against Burnley FC on Thursday night at their home stadium named Old Trafford. Ralf Rangnick’s men were brilliant in the first half as well as in the second half and deservingly take all the three points from this game. New Interim boss Ralf Rangnick hasn’t yet tasted a defeat since his appointment as Man United’s manager. Red Devils played their last game of the year 2021 in the Premier League against Burnley as they finish this year with an emphatic victory.
Burnley FC went behind in this game just after 8 minutes as Man united’s midfielder Scott McTominay scored a wonderful goal from the edge of the box which helped United take lead against the visitors. Apart from all the games, Ralf managed, the game against Burnley was the best as Manchester United was looking in control which the manager wanted to see since the start. They were dominating the possession and also holding the backline very strong and organized so that the visitors weren’t able to take advantage in the first half. Soon after some time, an amazing link-up play between left-back Luke Shaw who was playing his first game under Rangnick, and Sancho contributed to United’s second goal. Sancho had a shot from the left flank but as Burnley’s captain Ben Mee got a little touch on the way, it was given as his own goal.

United didn’t take much time to take a 3-0 lead as in the 35th minute after Scott McTominay’s long shot hit the post, the ball came back to United’s main man Cristiano Ronaldo who only had to do a tap-in into an empty goal to score his 14th goal of the season in all competitions. Red Devils were in complete control of the game before Eric Bailly’s mistake led to Burnley’s first goal which was scored by striker Aaron Lennon. The half-time score was 3-1 with untied leading in the half.

The goal scored by Burnley’s striker Lennon was the last goal of the game as it ended with the scoreline of 3-1 only. Burnley created some chances at the start of the second half but it was not enough for the visitors to take points at Old Trafford. Manchester United didn’t create many chances on Burnley’s goal in the second half thus this half was boring as compared to the first one.
An outstanding display 🔴⚡️
