Manchester United through to the last 8 of the Carabao Cup

Manchester United beat Burnley by 2-0 in the round of 16 of the Carabao Cup.

Manchester United are back and they are back in some style at Old Trafford. This was their first game after the FIFA World Cup 2022. Manchester United started with a home victory. Erik ten Hag’s men are through to the last 8 of the EFL Cup (Carabao Cup) after they defeated Burnley by 2-0 in the round of 16 games.

The game was played at Old Trafford on Wednesday night. Some players who went to Qatar for World Cup were back in the starting XI and their magic worked. Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes gave a sweet ball to Aaron Wan-Bissaka and he dive it to make an amazing assist to Christian Eriksen who had his first Old Trafford goal.

United was leading Burnley by 1-0 in the halt-time and they deserved it. English forward Marcus Rashford scored another one for Manchester United and doubled their lead in the 57th minute. It was a solo goal from Marcus and he made some of Burnley’s defenders dance in their half.

After this victory, Ten Hag’s side will play in the quarter-finals of the competition and will try to win it.
