Manchester United set to offer £84m for Xavi Simons

Manchester United are ready to make a significant move for Xavi Simons, with plans to offer Paris Saint-Germain £84 million (€100 million) for the Dutch midfielder, according to SPORT.

The Spanish outlet reports that United aim to outbid Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig for Simons’ signature this summer. While PSG is open to extending Simons’ successful loan at RB Leipzig, United’s substantial offer may change the situation.

Bayern Munich’s proposal reportedly ranges between £50-60 million, making United’s offer much more attractive. After securing defender Leny Yoro and striker Joshua Zirkzee, United now focus on strengthening their midfield.

Manager Erik ten Hag is keen on Simons, seeing him as a key addition to the squad. United have also been in talks with PSG over Manuel Ugarte, who may leave Paris just a year after joining from Sporting Lisbon.

With their sights set on Simons, United hopes to fend off competition from top European clubs and secure another major signing this summer.
