Since the start of the summer transfer window, United have had their sights set on the 21-year-old centre-back, who impressed during his time at Everton.
United recently submitted their second bid for Branthwaite, offering €40 million. However, the figure remains significantly below Everton’s asked valuation. Despite the gap in valuation, Manchester United remain keen on securing Branthwaite’s services.
Branthwaite is seen as a key target for United, alongside Matthijs de Ligt, who has already expressed his desire to join the club.
