At long last, Manchester United finally decides to sack Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer as their manager. It was a tough decision for United to take, considering everything that Solskjær did for the Red Devils in the past three years or so. He almost built a team, but that could win the silverware; however, he couldn’t quite achieve his target for one reason or the other.
Manchester United can confirm that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has left his role as Manager.
Thank you for everything, Ole ❤️#MUFC

Ever since the Ferguson era came to an end, Manchester United has been struggling. They appointed various coaches, starting from David Moyes to Jose Mourinho, but none of them could be as successful as Ole Gunnar Solskjær was, the only problem is that he could not win anything to show for his greatness, and since trophies are the only thing that matter in today’s world, Ole too had to go.
The club decided to take this decision after the abysmal run of Manchester United reached new heights. They lost an away game against Watford by the abhorring difference of 4 goals to nil. This match alone was not the reason behind the sacking; it was a series of bad results, in fact, four losses in five games, that has led to the sacking.
The board put out a statement on their website that read, “Ole will always be a legend at Manchester United, and it is with regret that we have reached this difficult decision… Ole leaves with our sincerest thanks for his tireless efforts as a Manager and our very best wishes for the future.” The statement further announced that Michael Carrick would take charge of the upcoming games, while United looks for an interim manager for the season.
